Brigid's 726 N 24th St. @ off Fairmount in the Art museum area. Real Belgian restaurant that has a cool downdraft system and lots of hand pumps.

For Pete's Sake Front and Christian. Small and cozy with a big screen TV for sports.

Royal Tavern 937 E. Passyunk Ave. It's like the Khyber but with good food and no ultra loud music. A good South Philly stop.

Tattooed Mom's. 6th street on South St. Tattoos and piercing abound. Yards, Chimay and Pabst blue ribbon mix well here. 530 South St 215-238-9880

Standard Tap Liberties area. Fresh local breweries only. Crowded hipster hangout with an open deck for the ocasional outdoor meal. Great food too.

McGlinchey's Pub 259 S 15th St. Cheep cheep! Smoke filled bar with $3.00 pints of Yards and Guinness.

Nodding Head Center city. Brew Pub. Good standard beers and one tap is usually something weird and neat. Very good food too.

Sugar Moms Old City. Sugar moms Hidden in an alley but worth hunting for. Foosball, pool and pinball. The barleywine fest on Easter Saturday should not be missed. 225 church street 215-925-3181

Triunph Brewing co. 117-121 Chestnut Street Philadelphia 215-625-0855. Brewpub. Go for the fresh handcrafted beer, the food and service are either very good or very poor depending on the day you go.
